  1) A stroll in the heart of Oslo - the Ibsen walk  

During this walking tour we will pay an inside visit to the City Hall. See the room where the Nobel Peace Prize is being awarded, via the National Theatre, the University on Karl Johan Street and further to Henrik Ibsen's apartment - see and hear how the playwright spent his last years after returning to Norway, where he very soon became this city's biggest tourist attraction.

Return to the city centre by walking past the Royal Palace.

2) Art in Oslo SORRY the tour is cancelled!


Start with driving through the city and first stop will be made at the Munch museum. Edward Munch is considered a pioneer in expressionism, and this museum contains his bequest to the city. Leaving the Munch museum, and still on the east side of the city, we drive to viewpoint Ekeberg, above the new Opera House, and with a splendid view of the entire city, recognizable also as a motive in Munch's famous painting "The Scream". Weatherpermitting and if time allows descend from Ekeberg to walk on the white Carrara Marble roof of the Opera House. The tour ends with a walk through the famous Vigeland sculpture garden before returning to the city centre.

3) Norwegian discoverers SORRY the tour is cancelled!

Leave the city and go straight to the Bygdøy Penninsula. See the original Viking ships excavated along the Oslo fjord approx 100 years ago, and hear the story of the ferocious Vikings and their lives more than 1200 years ago.
Next we enter into the Arctic and Antarctic history and the hardship endured on the expeditions made by the FRAM, the ship that has been farthest north and farthest south.
Leaving the Fram museum we will next door be seated in the audithorium to view the "Supervideograph" a 19 minutes 180 degrees video of the importance of ships and boats along coastal Norway.
